So, I’ve been planning this Greece trip for ages, and it finally happened! Ten days of exploring ancient ruins, eating delicious food, and soaking up the sun. Let me tell you, it was a whirlwind, but totally worth it. Here’s how it all went down.

Day 1: Touchdown in Athens
Landed in Athens, and the first thing I did was grab a taxi to my hotel. Checked in, dropped off my bags, and I was out the door. I wanted to see the Acropolis right away. Bought a ticket, climbed up that hill, and bam! There it was, the Parthenon in all its glory. Spent a good couple of hours wandering around, taking pictures, and just soaking it all in. Afterward, I found a cute little taverna in Plaka and had my first authentic Greek meal. Gyro, of course, and it was amazing.
Day 2: More Athens Adventures
Started the day with a visit to the Ancient Agora. It’s crazy to think about all the history that happened there. Walked through the ruins, imagined what it was like back in the day. Then, I hit up the National Archaeological Museum. So many artifacts! My feet were killing me by the end, but it was worth it. Finished the day with a delicious dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Acropolis. Magical.
Day 3: Delphi Calling
Took an early bus to Delphi. The ride was scenic, winding through the mountains. Arrived in Delphi, checked into my hotel, and went straight to the archaeological site. Explored the Temple of Apollo, the Athenian Treasury, and the Delphi Archaeological Museum. The views from up there were breathtaking. Had dinner at a local taverna, trying some traditional Greek dishes.
Day 4: Meteora’s Monasteries
Another bus, another adventure. This time to Meteora. These monasteries perched on top of giant rocks are something else. Hiked up to a couple of them, and the views were insane. The inside of the monasteries was just as impressive. Spent the rest of the day wandering around the town of Kalambaka, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
Day 5: Ferry to Mykonos
Said goodbye to the mainland and hopped on a ferry to Mykonos. The ferry ride was a bit long, but the views of the Aegean Sea were beautiful. Arrived in Mykonos, checked into my hotel near the beach. Spent the afternoon swimming, sunbathing, and just relaxing. In the evening, I explored Mykonos Town, with its iconic windmills and narrow, winding streets. Had a seafood dinner by the water, watching the sunset.

Day 6: Mykonos Beach Hopping
Rented a scooter and spent the day exploring the beaches of Mykonos. Paradise Beach, Super Paradise Beach, Ornos Beach – each one had its own vibe. Swam, sunbathed, had lunch at a beach bar, people-watched. It was a perfect beach day. In the evening, I went back to Mykonos Town for some shopping and a delicious dinner.
Day 7: Ferry to Santorini
Another ferry, this time to Santorini. Arrived in Santorini and was immediately blown away by the views. The white-washed villages clinging to the cliffs, the blue-domed churches, the caldera – it was like something out of a postcard. Checked into my hotel in Oia, and spent the afternoon wandering around, taking pictures, and just soaking it all in. Watched the famous Oia sunset, and it was truly spectacular.
Day 8: Santorini Exploration
Rented an ATV and explored the island. Visited the Red Beach, the Black Sand Beach of Perissa, and the ancient ruins of Akrotiri. Had lunch at a taverna in a small village, enjoying the local wine and food. In the evening, I went for a swim in the hotel’s infinity pool, overlooking the caldera.
Day 9: Volcano and Hot Springs
Took a boat tour to the volcano and hot springs. Hiked up to the crater of the volcano, which was pretty cool. Then, swam in the hot springs, which was a unique experience. The water was warm and supposedly had healing properties. Spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool, enjoying the last bit of Santorini sun.
Day 10: Farewell, Greece
Woke up early, had a final Greek breakfast overlooking the caldera, and then headed to the airport. Said goodbye to this beautiful country, feeling refreshed, inspired, and full of amazing memories.

It’s a simple itinerary but I like to live it. I’ll be back soon, Greece!
