Okay, so I recently wrapped up a trip to the East Coast, USA, and man, was it a whirlwind! Figured I’d share some of the highlights and must-dos, based on my own totally chaotic but awesome experience.

First up: New York City. Obvious, right? But you gotta do it. I started by just wandering around Times Square, soaking it all in – the lights, the crowds, the sheer energy. It’s touristy, yeah, but it’s iconic. Then I hopped on the subway (a rite of passage, honestly) and headed downtown.
- Walked the Brooklyn Bridge: Seriously, do this. The views of the Manhattan skyline are insane, especially at sunset. Bring your camera!
- Hit up a Broadway show: Managed to snag last-minute tickets to “Wicked.” Cheesy? Maybe. But the singing was phenomenal.
- Ate pizza. Obviously: Found this tiny little place in Little Italy – can’t remember the name, but it was heaven. Just follow your nose.
Next stop: Boston. Such a different vibe from NYC – more historical, more laid-back. I spent a day just walking the Freedom Trail, checking out all the Revolutionary War sites. Super interesting, even for someone who slept through history class.
- Fenway Park tour: Even if you’re not a baseball fan, it’s worth seeing this legendary stadium. Learned a ton about its history.
- Quincy Market: Food, food, and more food! Grabbed a lobster roll (a must-do in Boston) and people-watched for hours.
- Harvard University: Took a stroll through the campus – made me feel incredibly underachieving, but it was beautiful.
Then I ventured down to Philadelphia. I went straight to see the Liberty Bell which, honestly, was smaller than I expected. Then, I saw the Declaration of Independence at Independence Hall, so I was in awe of being that close to history.
- Tried a Philly Cheesesteak: It was really good, no regrets.
- Went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art: Ran up the “Rocky Steps” and posed. Touristy but fun.
Headed south to Washington, D.C., I visited the White House and went to the National Mall. I walked around to see the Washington Monument. Super important to see all the monuments and think about the past.
- Visited the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum: Very cool exhibits for all ages.
- Went to a Cherry Blossom Festival: Beautiful flowers in the spring. A very popular event.
Finally, I had to make my way to Miami, Florida. I went swimming and relaxed at Miami Beach and I walked along Ocean Drive and watched the cars. The weather was sunny and warm!

- Ate Cuban Food: The sandwiches were amazing.
- Checked out the Art Deco District: The architecture was really cool.
Honestly, the whole trip was a bit of a blur. There’s so much to see and do on the East Coast. My advice? Don’t try to cram everything in. Pick a few things that really interest you, and just go with the flow. You’re guaranteed to have an adventure.
