Okay, let’s talk about this journey I went on. It wasn’t something I just stumbled upon, took some real dedicated time and focus.

Getting Started
So, first thing, I needed the right headspace and environment. Couldn’t just do this anywhere. Found a time when I knew I wouldn’t be disturbed. Quiet room, dimmed the lights a bit, made sure the temperature was comfortable. No distractions was key. Phone off, everything off.
I started by just lying down flat on my back. Bed, floor with a mat, doesn’t really matter as long as it’s comfortable and supportive. Just wanted my whole body to feel like it could let go.
The Process
Breathing was the real entry point. I didn’t force anything fancy at first. Just started noticing my breath. Inhale through the nose, feeling my belly rise, then exhale slowly through the mouth. Did this for a good few minutes, just letting my body settle, letting the thoughts drift by without grabbing onto them.
Then, I moved my focus. Started with my toes. Really tried to feel them. Wiggled them slightly, then just felt the sensation, the warmth, the contact with the air or the covers. Slowly, I moved this awareness up my body.
- Feet
- Ankles
- Calves
- Knees
- Thighs
Took my time with each part. Didn’t rush. The idea was to consciously inhabit every inch. Sometimes my mind would wander, totally normal. I just gently brought it back to the body part I was focusing on, and back to the slow, deep breathing.

As I moved up – hips, belly, chest, arms, hands, neck, face – I started noticing subtle shifts. A tingling here, a warmth there. It wasn’t about making something happen, but more about allowing whatever sensations arose to just be there. The breathing kept anchoring me.
Building Up
This is where things got interesting. As my awareness spread and deepened, the sensations started to connect. It wasn’t just isolated tingles anymore. It felt more like a gentle current, an energy flowing. I focused on keeping my body completely relaxed, especially areas that tend to hold tension like the jaw, shoulders, and belly. Letting go was crucial.
The breathing got deeper, more natural. It felt less like I was breathing and more like the body was breathing itself. The sensations intensified, becoming waves rather than ripples. Still just observing, allowing, not forcing.
The Peak
And then… it happened. It wasn’t like a switch flipped, more like a dam breaking. A wave of intense sensation washed over my entire body, from the tips of my toes to the crown of my head, all at once. It wasn’t localized; it was everywhere. A complete release, incredibly powerful but not jarring. Just this overwhelming feeling of connection, pleasure, and energy surging through every cell. My breath hitched, my body might have trembled slightly, but mostly it was this profound internal experience. Hard to put into exact words, honestly. It felt like my whole being was vibrating, totally alive.
Afterwards
After the peak subsided, I just lay there for a while. Didn’t jump up right away. Let the residual feelings wash over me. Felt incredibly relaxed, peaceful, and deeply connected to myself. There was this sense of stillness and completion. Took a few more deep, gentle breaths before slowly starting to move my fingers and toes, gradually bringing myself back. It’s definitely an experience that takes practice and patience, but wow, the payoff when you get there.
