Okay, so I’ve been planning a trip to Italy in June, and the first thing on my mind, naturally, was the weather. I mean, who wants to pack the wrong clothes, right? So, I started digging around to figure out what to expect.

My Weather Research Adventure Begins
First, I opened my browser. I usually just use Google, so I typed in something simple like “weather in Italy in June”. The results were a bit overwhelming, lots of websites and averages, but nothing too specific.
I realized I needed to be more specific. Italy’s a long country, so the weather in Milan is probably way different than the weather in Sicily. I decided to focus on the main cities I’m planning to visit: Rome, Florence, and Venice.
City by City Breakdown
So, I started searching for each city individually. I typed things like “average temperature Rome June” and “what to wear in Florence in June”. This gave me much better results!
- Rome: Seems like it’s generally warm and sunny, with average highs in the upper 70s to low 80s Fahrenheit (around 25-28 Celsius). I saw some mentions of occasional rain, so I’ll definitely pack a light jacket.
- Florence: Pretty similar to Rome, maybe a degree or two cooler. I found some blogs suggesting evenings can get a little chilly, so layers are key.
- Venice: Also warm, but I read that it can be a bit more humid. I figured that means I should pack clothes that breathe well.
Putting It All Together
After all that searching and reading, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on what to expect. Mostly warm and sunny, with a chance of rain and some slightly cooler evenings. I’m thinking lots of t-shirts, shorts, a couple of pairs of pants, a light jacket, and maybe a sweater. And of course, comfortable shoes for all the walking I’ll be doing!
I’m still a little nervous about getting it exactly right, but I think I’m much better prepared now than I was before I started this little weather research project. Now, onto figuring out what to do in each city!
