Alright, so check it, today I’m spilling the beans on my recent trip to Chimney Beach. It was a bit of a mission, but totally worth it. Let’s dive in.

First things first, I heard about this place from a buddy who’s always chasing the next cool spot. He was raving about the views and the chill vibes, so I figured, why not?
I started by doing some digging online. Looked up directions, checked out some photos, you know, the usual. It seemed a little tricky to get to, but nothing I couldn’t handle.
Got my gear ready – sunscreen, water, snacks, and my trusty camera. Made sure my phone was charged, just in case I got lost (which, let’s be real, is a strong possibility).
Drove out early to beat the crowds. The drive itself was pretty scenic, winding roads and all that jazz. Eventually, I found the trailhead. It wasn’t super obvious, just a small parking area and a dirt path leading into the woods.
The hike down was a bit steeper than I expected. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it in flip-flops. There were some loose rocks and uneven terrain, so I took my time. Gotta watch your step, you know?

As I got closer, I started hearing the waves. The anticipation was building up. Finally, I reached the bottom, and BAM! Chimney Beach. It was even more stunning in person. Clear blue water, huge granite boulders, and, of course, the old stone chimney standing tall.
I spent the next few hours just chilling on the beach. Soaked up the sun, took some photos, and even went for a swim (the water was a bit chilly, but refreshing). There were a few other people around, but it wasn’t too crowded. Just the right amount of solitude.
Climbed around on the rocks a bit, explored the shoreline, and just generally soaked in the atmosphere. It was seriously relaxing. The kind of place where you can forget about all your worries for a while.
Eventually, it was time to head back. The hike up was definitely a workout, especially after a day of lounging on the beach. But I made it, feeling tired but rejuvenated.
Got back to my car, cranked up the tunes, and started the drive home. Already planning my next trip back to Chimney Beach. It’s definitely a hidden gem worth checking out.

Things I learned:
- Wear proper shoes. Seriously.
- Bring plenty of water. That hike is no joke.
- Get there early to avoid the crowds.
- Don’t forget your camera! You’ll want to capture those views.
Overall, it was an awesome experience. Chimney Beach is a must-see if you’re ever in the area. Just be prepared for a bit of a hike, and you’ll be rewarded with some serious natural beauty.
