Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out Melbourne, FL, and specifically the beach, for a while now. I finally had a free weekend, so I packed my bag and hit the road.

First things first, I needed to find a place to stay. I didn’t want anything fancy, just a clean, basic motel near the beach. I spent maybe an hour or two scrolling through different booking websites before I found a decent-looking spot with good reviews and, most importantly, a reasonable price. Booked it!
The drive down was pretty uneventful. I stopped for gas and some snacks along the way. I always like grabbing a good coffe before getting a trip, it always make me enjoy more! I arrived in Melbourne in the late afternoon, checked into my motel, and immediately changed into my swimsuit. I was itching to get to the beach!
The Beach Itself
The beach was amazing! The sand was soft and white, and the water was a beautiful blue-green. I spent a good couple of hours just walking along the shore, collecting seashells, and soaking up the sun. There were some people around, but it wasn’t overly crowded, which was nice.
I even tried a little bit of bodyboarding. I’m not very good, but it was still fun to splash around in the waves.
Later, I grabbed some dinner at a casual beachfront restaurant, I ate with my feet touching the sand! it felt nice.

- Woke up early the next morning.
- Grabbed a quick breakfast at the motel.
- Headed back to the beach for another few hours of sun and relaxation.
Before leaving, I made sure to grab a couple of souvenirs from a local shop, a key ring and a magnet.
Overall, it was a perfect weekend getaway. I felt so refreshed and recharged after spending time at the beach. I definitely plan on going back again soon!
