Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about this “Matt Gordon Model” thing, and I figured I’d give it a shot myself. Honestly, I wasn’t even 100% sure what it was all about at first, but that’s part of the fun, right? Diving in headfirst!

The Matt Gordon Model: Your Simple Guide to Success.

Getting Started

First things first, I needed to figure out what I actually needed. I did some digging around and, well, it seemed like I basically needed to get my hands on some data. Seems logical, right? You can’t really model anything without some good, solid info to work with.

So I started by grabbing some data I had lying around. We are all data hoarders, I had plenty. I just grabbed one of data set to start messing around with.

Wrangling the Data

Of course, the data wasn’t perfect. It never is, is it? There were some missing bits, some weird outliers, the usual messy stuff. So I spent a good chunk of time just cleaning it up. I’m talking about removing the obvious errors, filling in some of the gaps where I could, and basically just making sure everything looked reasonably consistent. This part is always a bit tedious, but it’s gotta be done.

Building the Thing

With the data all spick and span, I could finally start building. Now, I’m not gonna lie, I’m no expert in complicated stuff. I took my time and went through the basic steps that made sense to me.

I played around with different settings, I did some trial to see what it would do and finally It turned out I can deal with it. It was not as difficult as i thought!.

The Results (Sort Of)

And… I got something! It wasn’t perfect, I’m sure. I definitely need to tweak things some more, check my assumptions, and probably read up on some more of the theory behind it all. But hey, I made something that kinda-sorta works! And that’s a win in my book.

Next up, I want to try running this on a totally different data set, just to see if I can get similar results. And I’ll probably spend some more time digging into the nitty-gritty details, so I can really understand what’s going on under the hood. But for now, I’m pretty happy with my little experiment.
