My Journey with the Purple Aura Thing
Okay, so folks sometimes ask me about auras, especially the purple ones. My journey into this wasn’t exactly planned. It started a few years back. I was feeling kinda stuck, you know? Same routine day in, day out. Work, home, sleep. I felt like I was missing something, but I didn’t know what.
I started just poking around, reading different things, trying to find… well, something. I stumbled onto stuff about energy fields and auras. Honestly, my first thought was, “What a load of baloney.” Sounded like something out of a fantasy movie. But a part of me was curious, maybe just bored enough to give anything a second look.

Felt like an idiot. Saw absolutely nothing, maybe a slight blur because my eyes were tired. Tried it a few more times over a couple of weeks. Still nothing. I pretty much wrote it off again.
Then something else happened. I wasn’t looking for auras or anything. I was visiting my aunt in the hospital. She was pretty sick, but she had this calm about her. Really calm. While sitting there, just watching her rest, I had this weird feeling. Not something I saw, mind you, more like a strong sense or impression. The word ‘purple’ just popped into my head. Not her favorite color, not anything she was wearing. Just… purple. It felt deep, intuitive, connected to that sense of peace she had even though she was unwell.
I didn’t see a literal purple glow around her. Let’s be clear on that. It was more like my brain trying to label that strong feeling of deep knowing, or spiritual connection, maybe? When I later looked up aura color meanings again, just out of curiosity after that hospital visit, purple was often linked to stuff like:
- Spirituality
- Intuition
- Higher consciousness
- A connection to the divine or universal energy
It kind of clicked with that feeling I got. It wasn’t about seeing colors floating around people for me. It was more about associating that deep, intuitive, almost spiritual vibe I felt from my aunt with that color, purple.
So, when people ask me “what does a purple aura mean?”, I don’t give them a textbook answer. I usually just share this little story. For me, based on that one strong impression, purple points towards that deep inner knowing, that quiet connection to something bigger than just the day-to-day grind. It’s less about seeing colors and more about recognizing a certain kind of deep, intuitive energy in someone, or maybe even feeling it in yourself during quiet moments. That’s my take on it, anyway.
