Real vs Fake Howlite: Check The Properties of Howlite.

Okay, so I’ve been getting into crystals lately, and I wanted to really get to know howlite. Not just, like, read about it, but really understand it. So I decided to do a deep dive and document everything. Here’s how it went:

Real vs Fake Howlite: Check The Properties of Howlite.

Getting Started

First, I needed some howlite. Obviously. I already had a few tumbled stones, but I wanted a variety. I grabbed a piece of raw howlite, a polished palm stone, and even a little howlite skull carving, just for fun.

Observation Time

Next, I really looked at them. I mean, I spent a good hour just examining each piece. I used a magnifying glass (nerd alert!) to check out the matrix patterns. Howlite is known for those grey, black, or sometimes brown veins running through it, right? Each piece was so different:

  • The Raw Piece: This one was super chalky and rough. The matrix was really prominent, dark grey and almost black in some spots. It felt… raw, I guess is the word.
  • The Palm Stone: Smooth and cool to the touch. The matrix was lighter, more grey than black, and it felt calming just to hold it.
  • The Skull Carving: This one was interesting because the carving really showed off the matrix in different ways. The lines were finer, and the overall color was a brighter white.

Feeling the Vibes

Then came the fun part – trying to sense the energy of each piece. I know, I know, it sounds a bit woo-woo, but I’ve found it helps me to connect my body. I held each piece in my hand, closed my eyes, and just focused on how it made me feel.

I did some slow, deep breathing and try to clear my mind. It is a great way for meditating.

The raw howlite felt… grounding. Like it was pulling my energy downwards, in a good way. The palm stone was definitely calming, almost like a gentle pressure relieving stress. The skull, surprisingly, felt playful and light.

Putting It to the Test

I wanted to see how howlite would affect me in different situations. So, for a few days, I carried the different pieces with me:

  • I put the palm stone under my pillow to see if it helped with sleep (it totally did!).
  • I held the raw howlite during a stressful meeting, and it did seem to keep me a bit more centered.
  • I kept the skull on my desk while I was working on a creative project, just to see if it sparked any ideas (jury’s still out on that one).

Final thought

I spent like, days with these stones, really get down the core. It’s helped with sleeping. My stress is getting better, it’s pretty helpful. I think I am going to do this on other stones.
