Okay, so I finally got around to checking out Malgretoute beach the other day. Been hearing bits and pieces about it, you know, the usual stuff people say about places.

Getting Started
Woke up that morning, wasn’t really planned. Just felt like getting out. Remembered the name ‘Malgretoute’ popped into my head. Figured, why not? Grabbed my keys, a towel that probably needed a wash, and just headed out.
The drive there… well, it was a drive. Some traffic, naturally. Always traffic when you just want a simple trip. Got a bit turned around once, GPS decided to take me on a scenic route, I guess. Added a good twenty minutes. Always happens.
First Look
Pulled up and found parking. Wasn’t too bad, surprisingly. Walked over towards the sand. My first thought? It’s a beach, alright. Sand, water, the usual setup. Not quite like the photos you sometimes see, but when is it ever?
The sand itself was… okay. A bit coarser than I expected in some spots. Found a place to drop my stuff. Wasn’t overly crowded, which was a plus. Hate beaches where you’re practically sitting in someone else’s lap.
Beach Time
Spent some time just walking along the shoreline. Dipped my feet in the water. It was cool, refreshing I suppose. Didn’t go for a full swim, wasn’t really feeling it that day. Just watched the waves for a bit.

- Walked from one end to the other.
- Looked for interesting shells. Didn’t find many.
- Sat down and just stared out for a while. Tried to clear my head.
Saw a few families playing, some people sunbathing. Standard beach scene. Nothing really jumped out as amazing, nothing terrible either. It just… was.
Heading Back
After a couple of hours, I figured I’d seen enough. The sun was starting to get strong anyway. Shook the sand off my towel (mostly) and packed up. The walk back to the car felt longer.
Driving home, I was thinking, yeah, it was an okay way to spend a few hours. Got me out of the house. But Malgretoute beach? It’s just another beach, really. Does the job if you need some sun and sea, but maybe don’t believe all the hype. It served its purpose for the day, and that’s about it. Back to the usual routine now.
