Okay, so I needed to get to Gdansk Walesa Airport the other day, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey figuring it all out. I thought I’d share my experience in case anyone else is in the same boat.

Starting Out
First, I had to decide how I was even going to get there. I looked at a few options. I mean, you’ve got your usual choices:
- Taxi: Seemed easy, but I was worried about the cost, especially with potential traffic.
- Public transport: Buses or trains. Definitely cheaper, but I wasn’t sure about the schedules and connections.
- Rideshare: I use them sometimes, but price can very.
Digging Deeper
I started poking around online, looking for bus and train schedules. Found some websites, but honestly, they were a little confusing. Different lines, different stops… my head started to spin. I tried to find timetables that made sense for my flight time.
I also checked out a couple of rideshare apps to see what the estimated fares were looking like. They were fluctuating quite a bit, so that made me a little nervous. It is difficult to make a good plan.
Making a Decision
After a bit of back and forth, I finally decided to go with the train, It seemed like the best balance of cost and reliability. Plus, I figured it would be less stressful than sitting in traffic.
The Actual Journey
I headed to the train station with plenty of time to spare, just in case. Bought my ticket – no problem there. I found the right platform (after asking someone, of course!). The train ride itself was pretty smooth.

Got off at the airport station, and it was a short walk to the terminal. Easy peasy!
Final Thoughts
Overall, getting to Gdansk Walesa Airport wasn’t too bad. Doing a little research beforehand definitely helped.
I recommond someone who want to go to the airport to check train and plan well!
