So, the other day, my dad, my brother, and I decided to shoot some hoops. It wasn’t anything fancy, just us messing around at the local court. We haven’t done that in ages, so I thought it will be quite a good memory if I record how the day went.

Getting Started
First, we dug out the old basketball from the garage. It was kinda flat, so we pumped it up. Then, we all hopped in the car and drove to the park. It was a pretty nice day, sunny but not too hot.
The Game (Sort Of)
- My dad, even though he’s getting up there in years, still has a pretty decent shot. He mostly stayed on the perimeter, shooting jump shots.
- My brother, he’s all about driving to the basket. He’s quick and loves to try fancy layups. Sometimes he even made them!
- Me? I was mostly just trying not to embarrass myself. I dribbled, I passed, and I even took a few shots. I think I made like, two.
We didn’t really keep score, just played around. We tried some one-on-one, some two-on-one. Dad and my little brother teamed up against me. They double-teamed me and blocked many of my shots.
My dad even showed us some old-school moves, which was pretty funny. My brother kept talking trash, but it was all in good fun. We were all laughing and sweating.
Winding Down
After about an hour, we were all pretty tired. We sat down on the bench, drank some water, and just chatted. It was nice to just hang out and spend some time together. We packed our stuff and walked to the car.

It wasn’t a serious game or anything, but it was a good time. It’s the kind of simple thing you don’t always appreciate until you do it. So, yeah, that’s how I spent my afternoon playing basketball with my dad and brother.
