Today, I messed around with something called “Morro Seeds.” I’d heard about them from a friend who’s really into gardening, and I thought, why not give it a shot? I’m no expert, but I do enjoy getting my hands dirty.

Getting Started

First, I needed to actually get the seeds. Easy enough, I found website selling them, and they arrived in a couple of days, very fast.

The Planting Process

I grabbed some small pots and some regular potting soil. Nothing fancy, just the stuff you’d find at any store.

  • I filled the pots with soil, leaving a little space at the top.
  • Then, I poked a few small holes in the soil with my finger, just deep enough to drop the seeds in.
  • I placed one seed in each hole and gently covered them with a bit more soil.
  • Finally, I gave them a good watering, making sure the soil was damp but not soaking wet.

Waiting and Watching

Now comes the hard part: waiting. I put the pots on a windowsill where they’d get plenty of sunlight. I watered at the soil when it is dry, that seems be working fine. I’m trying not to overwater them, which I’ve done before with other plants. It’s so easily to kill them. I’ve made it my habit to water my seeds in the morning.

First Signs of Life!

After about a week, I saw little green sprouts popping up! It was exciting to see that something was actually happening. It’s always a bit of a relief when you see those first sprouts, like, “Okay, I didn’t mess it up completely.”

What’s Next?

I’m still learning, so I’ll keep watching these little guys grow. As they get bigger, I’ll probably need to move them to larger pots. And eventually, who knows, maybe I’ll have some actual Morro plants. I keep observing and take note if somethings goes wrong. I think it’s a good habit to improve my gardening skill.

It’s a fun little project, and it’s satisfying to watch something grow from a tiny seed. If you’re looking for something simple to try, I’d say give it a go. It’s pretty cool to see the whole process unfold.
