Okay, so today I decided to check out “Moll de la Fusta” in Barcelona. I’d heard it was a cool spot, and I was in the mood for a walk.

Getting Started
First things first, I looked it up. Just a quick search to see where it was and what the deal was. Turns out, it’s a waterfront area, part of the old port – Port Vell. Sounded promising!
The Experience
I hopped on the metro – easy peasy. Got off at the Drassanes stop, and bam, I was practically there. I started walking along, and I have to say, it was pretty nice. There were these wide wooden planks, which I guess is the “Moll” part (wharf, in Catalan). You could just tell it was a chill place.
Lots of people were just strolling around, some were sitting and chatting, others jogging. I even saw some street performers doing their thing. It was a good mix of locals and tourists, which I always like.
- I checked out the boats. Some were super fancy yachts, others were smaller fishing boats. Kind of cool to see the contrast.
- I grabbed a coffee from a little kiosk and just sat down on a bench for a while.
- I simply watched people, listened to the sounds of the water, felt the breeze.
The Verdict
Honestly, it wasn’t some mind-blowing, life-changing experience. But it was a really pleasant afternoon. I enjoyed the relaxed vibe, the sea air, and just the general feeling of being in a different part of the city. I ended up spending a couple of hours there, just wandering and taking it all in.
If you’re looking for a low-key place to hang out, take a walk, and maybe people-watch, Moll de la Fusta is a solid choice. I’ll probably go back sometime, maybe with a book or a friend.

It was simple, free and I had a great time!
