Alright, so I wanted a map of Halifax, Canada. Nothing fancy, just something I could use to get a better sense of the city layout. Here’s how I went about it, step-by-step.

First Attempt: Just Googling It
My first thought, like most people I guess, was to just do a quick search. I typed in “map of Halifax Canada”. Simple enough, right?
Filtering the Noise
I skipped past all the ads at the very top. Then looked for something that look usefull.
Digging a Little Deeper
I wanted to see if there were any more specialized options.
- I looked at a few of the basic ones, just line drawings showing the main streets.
- Found some touristy ones highlighting attractions. These were okay, but had too much extra stuff I didn’t need.
- I found some and printed one!
The Result
Took me a few tries, filtering through a bunch of options, but I finally got what I want. Just good old printing a paper version of the map. It’s sitting on my desk now, ready for when I need to figure out where things are in Halifax. It’s not perfect, but it works!
