I opened up a couple of the big-name search engines – you know, the usual suspects. I won’t mention names, but they’re the ones everyone uses. I typed in my destination and travel dates. I made sure the dates were correct, that’s it.
Narrowing Things Down (The Fun Part!)
This is where it gets interesting. The search engines spat out a HUGE list of hotels. Way too many to look through! So, I started using the filters. These are my best friends when it comes to finding the perfect place.
- Price: I set a maximum price per night. No point in looking at fancy places I couldn’t afford!
- Stars: I just want a comfortable hotel.
- Amenities: I looked for if they have good view.
- Guest Ratings: This is super important! I always check what other people have said. I usually look for places with mostly positive reviews. I’ll skim through a few recent ones to see if there are any red flags.
Digging Deeper into the Options
After using the filters, I had a much smaller, more manageable list of hotels. I started clicking on the ones that looked promising.
Then I start to check the hotel pictures, the rooms, and the details, I want to see if they all fit my expect.
Making the Decision and Booking
After comparing a few different options, I found one that seemed perfect. Good price, good reviews, and it looked nice in the pictures. I double-checked everything – dates, price, cancellation policy – and then hit the “Book” button. Done!
