Alright, so today I’m gonna walk you through how I messed around with maps and specifically tried to pinpoint Granada, Spain on a map of Spain. It sounds simple, and honestly, it kinda is, but I figured I’d document my process anyway.

First things first, I fired up my trusty web browser. I figured the easiest way to do this was to use some online mapping tool. Google Maps seemed like the obvious choice, so I went straight there.

Then, I typed “Spain” into the search bar. The whole of Spain popped up, which was a good start, but obviously not specific enough. I needed to zoom in.

Next, I zoomed in… a lot. I used the little “+” button on the map, clicking repeatedly until I could start seeing the different regions of Spain clearly. I knew Granada was somewhere in the south, so I focused my attention there.

I scanned the southern coast of Spain, looking for recognizable cities. I knew Seville was west of Granada and Malaga was on the coast, so I used those as landmarks to guide me. It was like playing a visual treasure hunt.

After what felt like forever (probably only a few minutes), I finally spotted it! “Granada” was clearly labeled on the map. I let out a small “Aha!” of triumph. Mission kinda accomplished.

To make it a little more “official,” I dropped a pin on Granada. Google Maps lets you right-click on a location and choose “Drop pin.” Now, there was a little marker indicating the exact location.

Then, I took a screenshot. This was just for my own record, but also so I could share it later (which I’m doing now!). It’s nice to have a visual confirmation of a simple task completed.

Finally, I explored around Granada on the map a bit. I checked out the Alhambra (obviously), and virtually wandered through the city streets using Street View. It’s pretty cool how you can do that nowadays.

So yeah, that’s basically it. I found Granada on a map of Spain. Not exactly rocket science, but sometimes it’s the little things, right?
