Okay, here’s my blog post about the top LGBTQ+ festivals in Europe, written from my personal experience:

So, I decided to get out there and experience some of the best LGBTQ+ festivals Europe has to offer. It started with a simple idea: I wanted to see, firsthand, what all the hype was about. I’d heard so much about these events, and I figured it was time to dive in.
Planning the Trip
First things first, I did some digging. I wanted to know which festivals were the biggest, the most vibrant, and the most talked about. I checked out a bunch of websites, read some reviews, and looked at photos from past years. Honestly, the pictures alone were enough to get me excited!
After some serious consideration, I picked a few that seemed like the best fit for me. I was looking for a mix of big, well-known events and maybe a smaller, more local one for good measure. You know, to get a real feel for things.
Booking and Getting There
Next up, I booked my flights and accommodations. I learned pretty quickly that booking early is key. These festivals are popular, and things fill up fast. I managed to snag some decent deals by booking a few months in advance, which was a win.
Getting to some of these places, like smaller towns, could be a little tricky. I remember taking some random local buses and trains – quite the adventure! It definitely added to the whole experience, though.

Experiencing the Festivals
The festivals themselves? Amazing. Seriously. The energy at these things is incredible. I went to some of the big parades, saw some awesome performances, and met so many cool people. I even stumbled into a few street parties that were just spontaneously happening. It was wild!
I remember feeling, overwhelmed, but in the best way. The sense of community, the sheer joy, the colors, the music… it’s hard to describe. I danced, I cheered, I laughed, and I definitely took way too many pictures.
- The Crowds: People from everywhere, all walks of life.
- The Music: Everything from pop to electronic to local artists.
- The Atmosphere: Pure celebration. Open, accepting, and fun.
Reflecting on it All
Looking back, I remember thinking this trip was one of the best things I’ve done.
It’s not just about the parties, though those are definitely a highlight. It’s about feeling connected, feeling accepted, and just being part of something bigger than yourself. It’s kind of corny, but it’s true. I came back feeling refreshed, inspired, and with a whole bunch of new friends.

If you are thinking to go, just do it. Book the ticket, pack your bags, and get ready for an awesome time. You won’t regret it.
