Okay, so today I decided to check out the Tallinn Airport in Estonia. I’ve heard some good things, and I needed to get some first-hand experience for, you know, reasons. Here’s how the whole thing went down.

Getting There
First things first, I had to get to the airport. I did some checking, decided on a Bolt, for me it is easy to handle. Grabbed my bag, and booked a ride. The driver showed up pretty quick, which was great.
Arrival and Check-In
We pulled up to the airport, I got off, and it looked…modern. Not super huge, but definitely clean and organized. I had already checked in online, thank goodness, so I just needed to drop off my bag. I walked inside and followed the signs for bag drop.
There were a few self-service kiosks, it is easy to operate. I scanned my boarding pass, printed the bag tag, and slapped it on my suitcase. Then, I headed over to the designated drop-off point. There was a short queue, but it moved pretty fast. The staff were all friendly and efficient, which is always a plus.
Security
Bag dropped, time for security. I joined the security line, which, honestly, wasn’t too bad. I’d say I waited maybe 10-15 minutes tops. Took off my shoes, belt, emptied my pockets – the usual drill. Everyone was pretty chill, no one seemed stressed, which made the whole process a bit smoother. Everything went through the scanner, no issues, and I was on my way.
Exploring the Airport
With plenty of time to spare before my flight, I decided to wander around the airport. It’s not a massive airport like some of the major hubs, but it had a decent selection of shops and places to eat.

I browsed through a bookstore, grabbed a coffee and a pastry, and then just found a comfy seat near my gate.
- There were charging stations, which are always good to have.
- The free Wi-Fi was working great.
- The place felt clean and well-maintained.
Boarding and Departure
When the time came, I headed to my gate. Boarding was announced, and everyone lined up in an orderly fashion. The gate staff scanned my boarding pass, I walked down the jet bridge, and found my seat on the plane. Simple as that.
Overall, my experience at Tallinn Airport was positive. It’s not the biggest or flashiest airport, but it’s efficient, clean, and easy to navigate. Getting through check-in and security was a breeze, and there were enough amenities to keep me occupied while waiting for my flight. If you’re flying through Tallinn, I wouldn’t worry – it’s a pretty smooth operation.
