My Spin Through El Dorado Airport
Alright, so I had to pass through El Dorado Airport a while back. Let me tell you, it was an experience. I got dropped off, and the first thing that hit me was just… the sheer number of people. Packed. I mean, shoulder to shoulder in some spots. I just wanted to get my bags checked and move on, you know?

Finding the check-in counter for my airline was a bit of a treasure hunt. The signs were up, sure, but they weren’t always the clearest. Took me a good ten minutes of wandering around, craning my neck like a lost tourist, which, I guess, I kind of was. Finally found it. The line wasn’t too bad there, surprisingly. Got my bag tagged and sent off. Felt like a small victory.
Then came security. Oh boy, security. That was the real test. The line snaked back and forth, and it felt like it barely moved. You know the drill:
- Shoes off, belts off.
- Laptops out, liquids in a tiny bag.
- Everyone looking a bit stressed.
The folks working there seemed pretty serious, just doing their job, rushing people through. Can’t blame them, I suppose, with that many people to process. I just kept my head down and did what I was told. Finally, I was through. Freedom!
Once I was on the other side, it was a different kind of busy. Lots of shops, lots of places to eat. I wasn’t really in the mood for shopping, just wanted to find my gate. Grabbed a coffee and a pastry – pretty standard airport stuff. Found a seat near my gate, which was already filling up. It was one of those situations where you just sit and watch people, watch the planes. My flight was on time, thankfully. No drama there.
Boarding was a bit of a scramble, like it always is. Everyone eager to get on and settled. But it went smoothly enough. Got on the plane, found my seat, and just sort of exhaled. Made it. El Dorado, it’s a busy place, man. Definitely an airport that keeps you on your toes. Not the worst I’ve been to, but you definitely need a bit of patience when you’re going through there. That was my run, my little adventure at El Dorado. Just another day, another airport, right?
