Okay, so yesterday I decided to explore Seattle and find some free attractions. It was a fun challenge, and I think I managed to see quite a bit without spending a dime!

First Stop: Pike Place Market

I started my day bright and early at Pike Place Market. It’s totally free to wander around, even though you’re tempted every two seconds by delicious food and beautiful flowers. I watched the famous fish throwing – that was pretty entertaining! And I spent a good hour just people-watching and soaking up the busy atmosphere. The smells, the sounds, the colors…it was awesome.

Next: The Gum Wall

Just a short walk from the Market is the infamous Gum Wall. Okay, it’s kinda gross, but also strangely fascinating. I took some pictures – it’s definitely a unique backdrop! I didn’t add my own gum, though. Just wasn’t feeling it.

Strolling Along the Waterfront

After that, I walked along the waterfront. The views of Puget Sound are amazing. I saw ferries coming and going, sailboats, and even some kayakers. I just found a bench, sat down, and enjoyed the scenery for a while.

Olympic Sculpture Park: Art and Nature

Next up was the Olympic Sculpture Park. This place is fantastic! It’s completely free and features huge, impressive sculptures. Plus, it’s right on the water, so you get more great views. I wandered through the park, checking out the different art pieces and enjoying the fresh air.

  • Giant red sculpture – very cool!
  • Walking paths with great views
  • perfect place to enjoy the sunset.

Kerry Park View

Finally, I did have to take the bus to Kerry Park(not free but, only cost less than $3), and the view is free. I ended my day at Kerry Park, famous for its iconic view of the Seattle skyline, with the Space Needle and Mount Rainier in the background. It’s a popular spot, so it was a little crowded, but I managed to get some good pictures. It was the perfect way to wrap up my free Seattle adventure!

All in all, it was a super successful day of exploring. Seattle has a lot to offer, even if you’re on a tight budget. I proved it to myself. I’m so happy with my day!
