Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “masseur stories” thing pop up, and I figured, why not give it a shot? I’m no professional, just someone who likes to, you know, try things.

First things first, I needed a willing participant. Luckily, my partner was game. They’d been complaining about a stiff neck all week, so it was perfect timing.
I didn’t have any fancy massage oils, so I just grabbed some coconut oil from the kitchen. Figured it’d be moisturizing, at least. Gotta work with what you’ve got, right?
Setting the Mood (Sort Of)
- I dimmed the lights. Not super romantic-candlelit-dinner dim, just, you know, less harsh.
- Put on some chill music. Nothing with lyrics, just some lo-fi beats.
- Told my partner to lie face down on the bed. Easy enough.
Then came the actual massage part. I started with the neck, since that was the main complaint. I just used my thumbs and gently pressed into the muscles. I honestly had no idea what I was doing, just kind of winging it.
I moved down to the shoulders, kneading the muscles there like I was making bread. My partner said it felt good, so I guess I was doing something right.
After a while, my hands started to get tired. It’s harder work than it looks! I took a little break, then continued for a few more minutes. My hands started to ache a bit – I’m definitely not cut out for this as a career.

Finally, I finished up. My partner said they felt a lot better, which was the goal. Mission accomplished, I guess!
Overall, it was a fun little experiment. Not sure I’ll be offering my services anytime soon, but it was a good way to spend an evening. And hey, at least my partner’s neck feels better. That’s a win in my book. It’s not exactly a professional-grade “masseur story,” but it’s my masseur story, and that’s all that matters.
