Okay, so I wanted to figure out the holidays in Colombia, you know, for trip planning and stuff. Here’s how I went about it.

Colombia Country Holidays: Explore Beautiful Cities & Beaches!

First, I just did a simple search. Typed in “Colombia public holidays” and see what popped up. I got a bunch of websites, but I was looking for a simple, clean list.

I noticed some sites were a bit clunky, with too much going on. Others had the info, but it was kind of buried in paragraphs. It wasn’t super user-friendly.

So, I refined my search a little. I tried “list of Colombian public holidays” instead. This helped narrow things down!

I found a couple of sites that had the holidays listed out nicely. One even had them in a table, which was pretty sweet. I bookmarked those.

Getting Organized

Now, I’m a bit of an organization freak, so I wanted all this in my own notes.I just copied the ones from the best-looking site.

I opened up a new document and pasted in the list. I didn’t do it in any table format.

  • January 1: New Year’s Day
  • January 9: Epiphany
  • March 20: Saint Joseph’s Day
  • March 24: Palm Sunday
  • March 28: Maundy Thursday
  • March 29: Good Friday
  • May 1: Labor Day
  • May 13: Ascension Day
  • June 3: Corpus Christi
  • June 10: Sacred Heart
  • July 1: Saint Peter and Saint Paul
  • July 20: Independence Day
  • August 7: Battle of Boyacá
  • August 19: Assumption of Mary
  • October 14: Columbus Day
  • November 4: All Saints’ Day
  • November 11: Independence of Cartagena
  • December 8: Immaculate Conception
  • December 25: Christmas Day

That’s basically it! I just wanted a simple list of Colombian holidays, and that’s what I got. It took a bit of trial and error with the searches, but it wasn’t too bad.
