Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “oracle deck” thing. I saw some cool ones online, and I was like, “I wanna try that!” So, I started by just grabbing a regular deck of playing cards. I figured, why not? It’s got symbols, numbers, suits… plenty to work with, right?

First, I cleared the deck. Not like, physically cleaning, but more like… energetically? I just held the cards in my hands for a bit, closed my eyes, and kinda visualized any old vibes leaving them. Sounds weird, I know, but it felt right.

Getting Started

Then, I spent some time just looking at each card. Like, really looking. I noticed the details in the artwork, the colors, how the numbers were arranged. I started to get a feel for what each card might “mean” to me. For example, the Ace of Spades felt kinda powerful, maybe representing new beginnings or a strong force.

  • Hearts: Feelings, relationships, love, emotions.
  • Diamonds: Material stuff, money, work, practical matters.
  • Clubs: Action, growth, ideas, communication.
  • Spades: Challenges, obstacles, decisions, truth.

I wrote down some keywords for each card in a little notebook. Nothing fancy, just whatever came to mind. I also assigned some general meanings to the suits:

My First Reading

Once I felt like I had a basic understanding, I did a simple three-card spread for myself. Past, Present, Future. I shuffled the cards, focused on a question I had, and then laid them out.

It was… interesting! The cards I pulled actually seemed to make sense in the context of my question. It wasn’t like a crystal-clear answer, but it gave me some things to think about. Different perspectives, maybe. And it was fun! I think to try that!

So, that’s where I’m at with my oracle deck experiment. It’s definitely a work in progress, but I’m enjoying the process of learning and discovering my own meanings for the cards. It’s kinda like creating my own little language. And I’m excited because I finally made it.I will keep playing around with it and see where it takes me!
