Okay, so I’ve been meaning to put together a guide on LGBTQ+ festivals, and today I finally got around to doing it. I wanted to find some cool events to add to my own calendar, and thought, why not share the wealth?

The Brainstorming
First, I grabbed my notebook and jotted down some of the big-name festivals I already knew. You know, the ones everyone talks about like Sydney Mardi Gras, and Pride in London. I made a quick list, just to have a starting point.
The Deep Dive
Then, I fired up my laptop and started digging. It’s all about the online search, right? I spent a good couple of hours just browsing. I wanted the real deal, not just the usual tourist traps.
- I looked for festivals in different parts of the world. It’s not all about Europe and North America.
- I tried to find a variety of events. Some are huge mega-parties, but others are smaller, more community-focused.
- I paid attention to dates. Let’s be real, I can’t be in ten places at once!
Making the List
I started compiling everything into a document. So many tabs open on my browser, chaos I love that! I categorized festivals which I like. I added notes about the vibe of each event, I should consider more things for my own plan. I double-checked dates, and even looked at potential travel costs – gotta be practical!
What’s Next
I’ve got a pretty solid list now. I’m thinking of sharing, maybe in categories or by time of year. I think the result is helpful. I hope my sharing is useful, because I do enjoy my time today!
