Okay, so I’ve always wanted to see the sunrise in Miami. I mean, who hasn’t, right? It’s like, picture-perfect. So, this one time, I finally made it happen. I was staying in Brickell, which I found out is actually closer to Key Biscayne than Miami Beach. That was a neat little fact I picked up.

I knew I had to be up super early to catch the sunrise. Like, before 7 am early. Ugh, mornings. Anyway, I heard that Crandon Park on Key Biscayne is a great spot to watch the sunrise. I mean, you get to see it over the water, which is like, the best way to see a sunrise, don’t you think?

So, I set my alarm for, like, the crack of dawn. I’m not a morning person, but I was determined. I packed a little bag with some water and a snack, because, you know, priorities. I hopped in a ride-share and headed over to the park. It was still dark out, and the city was just starting to wake up. It was kind of peaceful, actually.

When I got to Crandon Park, there were already a few people there, probably with the same idea as me. I found a nice spot on the beach, sat down, and just waited. The sky started to get lighter, and you could see the colors starting to change. It was pretty awesome.

And then, boom! The sun started to peek over the horizon. It was so cool. The way the light reflected off the water, and the colors in the sky, it was like a painting. I took a ton of pictures, obviously. I mean, did it even happen if you don’t have pictures, right?

I hung around for a while, just soaking it all in. It was definitely worth the early wake-up call. It’s one of those things you see in pictures or videos, there are so many amazing videos about it, but seeing it in person is just something else.

  • Wake up early: Yep, had to be up before 7 am.
  • Head to Crandon Park: That’s on Key Biscayne, north edge.
  • Find a spot on the beach: Plenty of space to sit and chill.
  • Wait for the magic: The sky starts doing its thing, changing colors and all that.
  • Enjoy the sunrise: It’s gorgeous, reflecting off the water. Take a million pictures.

After the sun was up, I grabbed a quick breakfast nearby and then spent the rest of the day exploring Key Biscayne. It’s a really nice area, with a lot of cool stuff to see and do. There’s also a lot of fancy condos around there, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. And hey, if you’re into boating, I noticed quite a few folks out on the water. Seems like they have some rules about right-of-way, you can find them on the Internet easily.

Later in the evening, I was thinking about dinner. I heard there’s this place called Catch that’s supposed to be amazing. They have seafood, sushi, and steak. Sounded pretty fancy. But, you know what? I ended up just grabbing a cheap flight back home that night, because, why not? Spontaneity is key, my friends. Apparently, finding a cheap one-way flight to Miami isn’t too hard, either.

Anyway, that’s my story about catching the sunrise in Miami. It was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone. Just remember to set your alarm, and maybe bring a camera. You won’t regret it.

My Miami Sunrise Tip

If you ever decide to fly to Miami, check out those cheap one-way flight deals. It’s a real money saver, I didn’t check carefully at the beginning and spent a lot more money on the flights.
