Okay, so I’ve been thinking about spicing up my travel plans with some awesome music events. I figured Europe in the summer is the perfect combo, right? So I started digging around to see what’s out there. Here’s how I went about it, and what I’ve found so far:

First Steps: Broad Search
I started with a simple Google search, something like “best music festivals Europe 2024”. You know, the basic stuff. This gave me a bunch of listicles and blog posts. Lots of them, actually. It was a bit overwhelming at first.
Narrowing it Down
I realized I needed to be more specific. So I thought about what kind of music I’m really into. I’m a big fan of electronic music, but I also enjoy some indie rock. So, I refined my searches:
- “top electronic music festivals Europe”
- “best indie rock festivals Europe summer”
- “unique music events Europe” (just to see if anything unusual popped up!)
Digging Deeper
Once I had a shorter list of festivals, I started looking at their individual websites. You know, checking out the lineups, dates, locations, ticket prices, and all that jazz. I made a simple spreadsheet to keep track of everything. Nothing fancy, just:
- Festival Name
- Dates
- Location
- Genre(s)
- Potential Artists (the ones I’d be excited to see)
- Estimated Cost (including travel and accommodation)
Getting Practical
The cost was a big factor, obviously. I had to be realistic about my budget. Some of these festivals are expensive. So I started looking at flights and Airbnb options near the festival locations. I also checked out travel forums and blogs to see if anyone had tips on saving money or finding good deals.
Making a Decision (Almost!)
Right now, I’ve narrowed it down to a few strong contenders. I am almost decided.

It’s a tough choice! They all sound amazing, but they’re also pretty *’s not easy job!
I’m still doing some last-minute research, checking reviews, and maybe even asking some friends if they want to join. I’ll let you know what I finally decide! Stay tuned.
