Okay, so today I decided to dig into something completely new to me – the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport. I’ve never really messed with airports before, so this was a total shot in the dark. Here’s how it went down:

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to, you know, actually find some info about this airport. I mean, I’d heard of it, but that was about it. So, I fired up my trusty search engine and just typed in “Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport”.
Digging Deeper
The initial search gave me the usual stuff – Wikipedia, the airport’s official website (which I couldn’t use), and some travel blogs. I skimmed through the Wikipedia page to get a basic overview: location (Santiago, Chile!), IATA code (SCL), and some general history.
Then, i looked deeper to find some things including:
- Terminals:I wanted to know how many terminals there were and if they were connected. It looked a bit confusing at first, with a main terminal and then some talk of expansion.
- Airlines: Which airlines actually fly in and out of there? I wanted a sense of the major players. It seemed like LATAM was a big one, along with some other international carriers.
- Just General Vibe: Is it considered a good, modern airport? Are there lots of delays? That kind of thing.
I noticed that passengers flow is important to them.
Putting It All Together
After a couple of hours of poking around, I felt like I had a decent grasp of the airport. It’s definitely a major hub for South America, and it seems like they’ve been doing a lot of work to modernize it. It is the main gate of South America to the world.

So, that was my little adventure into the world of Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport. Not exactly rocket science, but hey, I learned something new!
