Okay, so yesterday was all about planning a fun trip with my little girl. We’ve been talking about it for weeks, and it was finally time to nail down some details. First, I brainstormed a bunch of ideas. I mean, everything from a simple park visit to a full-blown weekend getaway.

Thinking it Through

I grabbed a piece of paper and started jotting down everything that came to mind. My daughter loves animals, so the zoo was an obvious contender. But then, she’s also super into arts and crafts, so maybe a children’s museum? Decisions, decisions!

  • Zoo – Always a good option, lots of walking.
  • Children’s Museum – Interactive, but might be crowded.
  • Local Park – Simple, free, but weather-dependent.
  • Aquarium-she would love to see the fish.
  • Theme park-expensive,too many people

After I had my list, I sat down with my daughter and we went through it together. I wanted her to feel like she was part of the planning process, you know? We talked about what she was most excited about, and what she thought would be the most fun. It was a great way to get her input and make sure we were on the same page.

We finally settled on the aquarium! She’s been obsessed with “Finding Nemo” lately, so I figured it would be a big hit. And, as I thought it was also really fun!

Making it Happen

Then came the less exciting, but totally necessary, part: logistics.I need to find some discount tickets so that I can buy tickets and book a time * checked the weather (gotta be prepared!), and figured out how we were getting there (public transport it is!).

Lastly, I packed a small backpack with snacks, water bottles, and a change of clothes. Because, let’s be real, with kids, you ALWAYS need a change of clothes. I’m pretty sure it’s a law of nature or something.

All in all, it was a pretty productive day of planning. It took some time, but it was worth it to make sure we had a great daddy-daughter day. Now, I’m just excited for the actual trip!
