Okay, so the other day I needed to find my way around Abu Dhabi International Airport. I had a connecting flight and, you know, airports can be confusing mazes. So, I thought, “Let’s get a map!” Here’s how I went about it.
First, I pulled out my phone. Gotta love technology, right? My initial instinct was to just use Google Maps. I figured, why not? It usually works for everything else.
I opened the app and typed in “Abu Dhabi International Airport.” It showed me the general location, but zooming in wasn’t giving me the detailed terminal layout I needed. I mean, I could see the building outlines, but no gate numbers or anything useful for navigating inside.
My Simple Research

- Looked for Official Sources: My thinking was, the airport’s own website must have a good map.
I found some images, but the resolution wasn’t great. some of the images were outdated. So, it was a bit of a mixed bag.
I finally found it the useful map . I could see all the terminals, gates, and even things like prayer rooms and restrooms. Perfect!
I saved the image to my phone, so I could access it even without Wi-Fi. That turned out to be a lifesaver, because the airport Wi-Fi was a bit spotty in some areas.
So, lesson learned: Go to the official web, and save the map offline! It made navigating the airport way less stressful.
