Okay, let’s talk about this Colombiana soda I tried recently.

My Little Soda Adventure
So, I was poking around this little Latin market downtown, the one with all the spices and snacks you don’t see everywhere. Wasn’t looking for anything specific, just browsing, you know? Then I spotted these bright orange cans and bottles tucked away on a shelf. Colombiana La Nuestra. The name sounded interesting, and hey, I like trying new sodas. Figured I’d grab one and see what it was all about.
Got home later that day, was making some lunch, and remembered the soda. Pulled the can out of the fridge. It felt nice and cold. Popped the top – nice little fizz sound, always satisfying.
Giving it a Taste
Poured it into a glass. The color is really distinct, like a bright, almost reddish-orange. Smelled it first. Didn’t have a super strong smell, maybe a little sweet, fruity kind of scent, but hard to place.
Alright, time for the first sip. Hmm. Okay. It’s sweet, definitely sweet. But not like a regular cola or lemon-lime. It’s got this unique flavor… hard to describe exactly. Some people say champagne cola, and maybe that’s close? It’s kind of fruity, maybe a bit like cream soda mixed with… something else? Like a berry maybe, but not quite? It’s got decent carbonation, bubbly but not overpowering.
- Sweet, but unique
- Fruity-ish, maybe like Kola Champagne flavor
- Nice fizzy texture
- Very orange color
So, What’s the Verdict?
I actually kinda liked it! It was different. Really different from the usual sodas I drink. It’s quite sweet, so maybe not an every-single-day drink for me, but it was a nice change. Felt like a little treat. I finished the whole can with my lunch.

Would I get it again? Yeah, probably. If I see it again, especially if I’m having some Latin food, I think it would go pretty well. It was a fun little experiment, just picking up something totally new and giving it a shot. Always cool to taste something from a different place.
