Okay, so this morning I decided to try and make an “Asian Breakfast,” whatever that means. I’m no expert, but I’ve seen enough food blogs and travel vlogs to have a general idea. I figured it would be something different from my usual toast and coffee.

First, I scrambled some eggs. Just regular scrambled eggs, nothing fancy. I added a little salt and pepper, because, you know, basic seasoning.

The Rice Part

  • I cooked some rice. Thankfully, I have a rice cooker, so that part was easy. Just dumped in the rice and water, pressed the button, and waited.

Adding Some Flavor

While the rice was cooking, I chopped up some green onions. I like green onions, they add a little bit of freshness. I also found some leftover cooked chicken in the fridge, so I shredded that up too. I’m all about using leftovers – less waste, less work!

Putting it all Together

Once the rice was done, I fluffed it with a fork. Then, I mixed in the chicken and green onions. I drizzled a little bit of soy sauce over everything. Just a little, I didn’t want it to be too salty.

Finally, I put the scrambled eggs on top of the rice mixture. And that was it! My version of an Asian breakfast.

It wasn’t anything super authentic, I’m sure, but it was pretty tasty! And it definitely felt like a more substantial breakfast than my usual routine. I might try adding some other things next time, maybe some veggies or a different sauce. It’s all about experimenting, right?
