- Accommodation: I booked a hotel for the whole trip. I just printed out the confirmation emails.
- Travel insurance: I had to buy a specific kind of travel insurance that covered medical expenses. That was another thing to research and pay for.
- Flight reservation: I booked a round-trip ticket to Spain.
- Photos: I went to one of those photo booths to get passport-sized pictures.
Once I had all that, I scheduled an appointment at the visa application center. They were pretty busy, so I had to book it a few weeks in advance.
At the appointment, I handed over all my documents, and they took my fingerprints. I also had to pay a fee. The whole thing took about an hour. Then it was just a waiting game.
After a couple of weeks, I got an email saying my visa was approved! I went back to the application center to pick up my passport, and there it was, the visa stuck inside.
