Okay, so I’ve been traveling a bit lately, and one thing that always freaks me out is keeping my credit card info safe. Nobody wants to deal with that mess, right? So, I started looking into ways to be extra careful, and here’s what I’ve been doing:

Get Set Up Before You Go
First things first, I made sure all my credit card apps were downloaded and working on my phone. I enabled all the notifications, especially for transactions. That way, if anything weird happens, I know immediately.
- Downloaded all banking and credit card apps.
- Enabled transaction notifications (push notifications, email, everything!).
- Double-checked my contact info was correct with the banks.
Keep A Watchful Eye
I learned To be super careful about where I use my card. Sketchy ATMs in the middle of nowhere? Nope. I tried to stick to ATMs inside banks or well-lit, busy areas. Before swiping or inserting,I always give the card reader a good look over.
And when I’m paying at a restaurant or shop,I keep my credit card safely.
Stay Alert After
After back home,I always keep a very close eye on my accounts for a few weeks after, just in case. It’s probably overkill, but it gives me peace of mind!
I keep to check every transaction these weeks.
