Okay, so yesterday I decided to hit up Chapin Memorial Beach in Dennis. I’d heard it’s a pretty chill spot, especially during low tide when you can walk way out on the flats.

First things first, I packed my beach bag. Essentials, you know? Sunscreen – gotta avoid that lobster look – a towel, a book I probably wouldn’t read, and of course, snacks. I grabbed some water and a couple of granola bars. I really wanted to stay all afternoon to see sunset.
Getting There
It’s not hard to find. I just popped “Chapin Memorial Beach, Dennis, MA” into my phone’s GPS and followed the directions. It was a pretty straightforward drive.
I arrived and found a parking spot, parking wasn’t too bad when I got there, but it was a weekday. I’ve heard it can get packed on weekends, so that’s something to keep in * parking fee is about average in price.
Exploring the Beach
Once I got onto the beach, it was awesome! The sand was soft, and there were tons of people spread out, flying kites, some kids making castle. And I am right, the tide was super low.
I walked out onto the tidal flats – it felt like I could walk forever! I saw some little crabs scuttling around, and a few people were digging for clams. The water was so clear and shallow.I Spent a good hour just wandering around, taking pictures and enjoying the * found some good spot to settle myself.
