Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out Nye Beach for a while now. Everyone keeps talking about how charming it is, and the pictures online looked amazing. So, this weekend, I finally made it happen!

First things first, I packed my bag. You know, the essentials: sunscreen, a towel, a good book, and of course, snacks! Can’t go to the beach without snacks. I also threw in a light jacket, just in case it got breezy.
I drove down, which, let me tell you, the scenery alone was worth the trip. I mean, rolling hills, glimpses of the ocean… it was beautiful. The only little hurdle? Finding parking. It’s a popular spot, especially on a sunny Saturday, so I circled around a couple of times before I snagged a space. A little bit of patience is key.
Exploring the Beach
Once I parked, I grabbed my stuff and headed straight for the sand. And wow! The pictures didn’t lie. It was this wide, sandy expanse, with the waves crashing gently. I immediately kicked off my shoes and felt the sand between my toes. It was that perfect, slightly cool, soft sand.
I walked along the shoreline for a good hour, just taking it all in. I watched people flying kites, kids building sandcastles, and dogs chasing frisbees. There was just this happy, relaxed vibe all around.
- The sand was perfect. Soft underfoot.
- Waves. Gentle sound for relaxation.
- People. Just general good vibes from others enjoying the beach.
I even dipped my toes in the water. Okay, I’ll admit, it was cold. I’m not exactly a polar bear, so I didn’t go for a full swim, but it was still refreshing to splash around a bit.

More Than Just Sand
After my beach stroll, I decided to explore the little town area right next to the beach. It’s got these cute little shops and restaurants, all with that charming, coastal feel. I browsed through a couple of art galleries and picked up a small, handmade souvenir to remember the trip.
Finally, I grabbed some lunch at one of the cafes overlooking the ocean. I had some amazing clam chowder. I sat there, enjoyed my food, and watched the waves. It was the perfect ending to a perfect beach day.
Seriously, if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, you gotta check out Nye Beach. I’m already planning my next trip back!
