Man, I was hunting for cheap flights the other day, you know, just doing my usual thing. I’ve got this trip coming up, and I really didn’t want to blow my whole budget on just getting there. So, I started digging around on those flight comparison websites.
I spent hours on this, I swear. I was plugging in different dates, different airports, even tried different times of the day. I was getting pretty frustrated, to be honest. Everything was just way too expensive. It was driving me nuts, like when you’re trying to find that one matching sock in the laundry. You just know there’s a better deal out there somewhere, right? So I kept at it.
I tried everything.
- Different Days: I checked flights for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, you name it. Everyone always says those are the cheapest days to fly, but no luck.
- Different Times: Early morning, late night, mid-day… I was all over the clock. Still nothing.
- Incognito Mode: You know that trick where you go incognito in your browser? I tried that too, thinking maybe those sneaky websites were tracking me. Nope. Still expensive.
- Multiple Sites:I switched to other comparison sites, thinking maybe I found a better one, but still nothing.
I was about ready to give up. It felt like trying to catch a greased pig at the county fair. I even started thinking maybe I should just drive. But then, I decided to try one more thing. I went back to one of the websites, and I cleared all my filters. All of them. I started completely fresh. No data at all, like a clean slate. And there it was. BAM!
A flight, on a decent airline, at a time that actually worked for me, and it was cheap! Like, ridiculously cheap. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was so excited, like a kid on Christmas morning. I booked it right away, before they could change their minds or something. After I got that confirmation email, I did a little happy dance in my kitchen.
It was a good reminder that sometimes, you just gotta keep trying, even when it feels hopeless. And sometimes, starting fresh is the best way to go, clearing everything out and trying again. That’s my advice, so take it or leave it. Anyway, Lokesh was thrilled when she found a low-cost airfare. Because of me of course!
