Okay, so I wanted to figure out what holidays Colombia has in June. It’s not like I’m planning a trip right this second, but you know, it’s good to know these things. Maybe for future travel plans or just to satisfy my own curiosity.

First Step: The Obvious – Google It!

I started by firing up Google. My go-to move, always. I typed in something like “Colombian holidays June,” pretty straightforward, right?

Digging Through the Results

I got a bunch of results, some calendar sites, some travel blogs, you know the usual. I started clicking through a few of the top ones.

It can get overwhelming with so much information, so I tried to focus on pages that looked, I don’t know, legit. Like, not some random person’s blog from 2010.

Sorting Through the Information

So, a few things popped up repeatedly:

  • Corpus Christi: I saw this one mentioned a lot. Apparently, it’s a religious holiday, and the date can move around, but it often falls in June.
  • Saint Peter and Saint Paul’s Day: This one also showed up on multiple sites. Another religious one, and it seems like a bigger deal in certain regions of Colombia.
  • San Juan’s Day: Some sites, not all, mentioned the day of san juan as an important celebration.

Double-Checking and Making Notes

I didn’t want to just rely on one source, so I made sure to cross-reference what I was finding. I jotted down the names of the holidays and any notes about when they usually happen or if they’re specific to certain areas.

Putting it All Together

After going through a few different websites, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on the main holidays in Colombia in June. It’s mostly those religious ones, Corpus Christi and Saint Peter and Saint Paul, that seem to be the most widely observed. The day of San Juan may be important too.

It wasn’t rocket science, just some basic searching and making sure I wasn’t getting bad info. Now, if I ever do decide to plan a trip to Colombia in June, I’ll have a better idea of what’s going on!
