Okay, so I’ve always been fascinated by South American culture, especially the vibrant festivals and parades. I decided to dig in and find the absolute best ones, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride!

The Research Phase
First, I scoured the internet. I mean, I went deep. I read tons of travel blogs, checked out official tourism websites, and even dusted off some old travel guides I had lying around.
My goal was to find festivals that were:
- Authentic: I wanted real, traditional celebrations, not just tourist traps.
- Diverse: I wanted a mix of everything – religious processions, carnival madness, indigenous traditions, you name it.
- Spectacular: I mean, who doesn’t want a feast for the eyes? I was looking for color, music, and energy!
Compiling the List and Narrowing it down.
After hours of searching, I created a massive spreadsheet. Seriously, it was huge. I listed every festival I could find, with notes on dates, locations, and what made them special. Then came the hard part: narrowing it down.
It’s very difficult for me, I can’t decide.
The Final Product!
I finally have it, I finally managed to select some festivals to share with you guys after my careful research.

It was tough, but I eventually whittled it down to a manageable list of the absolute best, most unique, and most unforgettable street festivals and parades in South America. It took a lot of work, but it was totally worth it.
