Alright, so I wanted to mess around with generating some pictures of the Wicked Witch of the West. You know, the classic one from The Wizard of Oz. I’ve always thought she was such a cool, iconic villain, so I figured, why not?
Getting Started
First, I needed to think about what I actually wanted. Just a plain old picture of her? Nah, I wanted something a bit more specific. I thought about her green skin, her pointy hat, that creepy-but-awesome look she’s got. I imagined her in some dynamic poses, with the intention to find one that is the most eye-catching.
The Process
I decided to describe the key features in my mind.I started to typing in: “Wicked Witch of the West, green skin, black pointy hat, flying monkeys”.
I went through a few, tweaking the words a little each time.I added and tested these words: “close up portrait”,”full body shot”,”sinister smile”.
After about a ten or more attempts I finally got one image I really liked.
The Result
It shows the witch with a really awesome, menacing grin. It’s exactly the kind of image I was hoping for. It really captures that classic Wicked Witch vibe. I think that is so cool!
