Okay, so today I decided to hit up Playa Norte. I’d heard so much about it, you know, “best beach in the world” kind of talk. So, I woke up early, because, well, I wanted to beat the crowds.

First, I packed my bag. Essentials only: towel, sunscreen (super important!), a book, and some snacks. I threw on my swimsuit and a light cover-up, and I was out the door.

Getting there was pretty straightforward. I jumped in a taxi, it is the easist way for me. You could probably take a bus or rent a scooter, but I was feeling lazy. The ride itself was nice, you get to see a bit of the island.

Arriving at Playa Norte

When I arrived, wow. Just wow. The pictures don’t do it justice. The sand is, like, unbelievably white and soft. It felt amazing between my toes. And the water? Crystal clear, and the perfect temperature. Not too cold, not too warm.

I found a spot a little ways down the beach, away from the main cluster of people. I laid out my towel and just…relaxed. For a while, I just listened to the waves and soaked up the sun. It was pure bliss.

  • Swam in the ocean – the water was so calm and inviting.
  • Read my book – a trashy romance novel, don’t judge!
  • People-watched – always entertaining.
  • Ate my snacks – I brought fruit and some chips.
  • Just generally chilled out.

I spent a good few hours there, just doing my thing. I even took a little nap at one point. By the time I decided to leave, I felt totally refreshed and rejuvenated. It’s amazing what a little beach time can do.
