Okay, so, the other day I was thinking, “Where should I go for a beach vacation?” And you know what popped into my head? Greece! I mean, who hasn’t seen those pictures of stunning blue waters and white sandy beaches, right? So I started digging around to see what’s what, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a rabbit hole.

First, I hit up the usual spots – travel blogs, you know, the ones with the picture-perfect photos. They all kept mentioning how Greece has, like, thousands of kilometers of coastline. Seriously, thousands! It got me thinking, how on earth am I supposed to choose? I mean, I don’t want to spend my whole vacation just hopping from beach to beach, do I?
So I refined my search. I looked for lists of “best beaches” and “top-rated beaches” and stuff like that. I came across a few names that kept popping up, like Paleokastritsa on Corfu, which apparently has these super picturesque bays. Then there was Falassarna on Crete, which is supposed to have killer sunsets. And let’s not forget Navagio Beach on Zakynthos – the one with the shipwreck, you’ve probably seen it, it’s like, everywhere!
I also found out about Apella Beach on Karpathos. This one seems a bit out of the way, but they say it’s an award-winner, backed by a hillside. Sounds fancy, huh? And then there’s Voidokilia Beach in Messina, which apparently looks like a perfect crescent. Like, straight out of a postcard.
I made a list of these places, you know, to keep track of everything.
My List of Beaches:
- Paleokastritsa, Corfu
- Falassarna, Crete
- Navagio Beach, Zakynthos
- Apella Beach, Karpathos
- Voidokilia Beach, Messina
Then, I started looking at photos. I spent hours just scrolling through images of these places, trying to imagine myself there. Some looked super crowded, others looked more secluded. I started thinking about what kind of vibe I was going for. Do I want a party beach with lots of people and music? Or do I want something more chill, where I can just relax and read a book?

Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming. But also exciting! I mean, the possibilities seemed endless. I even started looking at flights and hotels, just to get an idea of the prices. It’s still early days, but I’m definitely leaning towards making Greece my next beach destination. I’ll keep you guys posted on how my planning goes! Maybe I’ll even do a follow-up post once I’ve actually made a decision and booked something. Who knows!
But yeah, that’s where I’m at with my Greek beach adventure. It all started with a simple question, and now I’m deep into planning mode. It’s funny how these things work out, right?
