Okay, so I’ve been planning a big trip to Southeast Asia, and honestly, I was starting to feel super overwhelmed. So many places to see, so many flights and buses to book, and I’m terrible at keeping track of everything.

I decided I needed some help, like, a serious travel planning tool. I started by just Googling “best travel planning tools,” you know, the usual.
Finding the Right Tool
- I looked at a few different options. I saw some that were like, super complex and geared towards travel agents, which was way too much for me.
- Then there were others that focused more on building itineraries.I needed one tool for bookings.
I started using this planning website. Seemed pretty user-friendly.
The Planning Process
I started by inputting my main destinations: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and then maybe a few islands in the south.
I added in my rough travel dates, even though I wasn’t 100% sure yet. It helped to have a visual timeline.
Then, the fun part – actually researching what to do! I used the tool’s built-in search function to find activities and tours in each city.

I found this awesome cooking class in Bangkok and a jungle trek in Chiang Mai, and I just added them directly to my itinerary with a click.
I started looking at flights and accommodations.I was able to compare prices.
I booked a few flights and a couple of hostels, all within the app. Seriously, it felt so much easier than having a million tabs open.
I also added in some free days for just wandering around and exploring, because you gotta have some flexibility, right?
Getting Organized
I created packing list to make sure I don’t forget anything important.
Saved all of my confirmation numbers and flight details in one place. It’s such a relief knowing I won’t be scrambling through my emails at the airport.
Still To Do
I still need to figure out the visa situation – that’s next on my list.
I also want to add some notes about local transportation in each city, like how to get around on the cheap.
Overall, using a travel planning tool has been a game-changer. It’s taken so much stress out of the planning process, and I actually feel excited about my trip instead of just overwhelmed. I’m so glad I decided to get organized this way – it’s made a huge difference!
