Okay, so I decided to try this whole “foot model” thing. Seriously, who knew there was so much to it? I figured, “Hey, I’ve got feet, how hard can it be?” Famous last words, right?
Step 1: The “Oh, Crap, My Feet Aren’t Perfect” Phase
First thing I did was look at my feet. Like, really look at them. And, well, let’s just say years of questionable shoe choices and ignoring my mom’s advice about moisturizing caught up with me. Dry skin, a couple of calluses… not exactly “model-ready.”
Step 2: Operation Foot Rehab
So, I went into full-on foot care mode. I’m talking:
- Soaking: Warm water, Epsom salts, the whole nine yards. Felt pretty good, actually.
- Scrubbing: Got one of those pumice stone things and went to town on the rough spots.
- Moisturizing: I bought some heavy-duty foot cream. It smelled kinda weird, but my feet felt softer.
- Nail Care: I invest on a nail clipper. Clip and file those.
I did this routine religiously for, like, a week. My feet actually started to look decent!
Step 3: Picture Time! (Awkward…)
Next up, photos. I figured I’d just snap some pics with my phone. Easy, right? Wrong. Turns out, getting good angles of your own feet is REALLY hard. I ended up using a lot of weird poses and my timer to make it happen.
I tried a bunch of different things:
- Different backgrounds: My hardwood floor, a fluffy rug, even my bedsheets (don’t judge).
- Different lighting: Natural light by the window seemed to work best. My bathroom lighting made my feet look, frankly a bit gross.
- Tried with props: Okay, I put a flower near my feet, and some of the pictures that I took, it looked very nice.
I took, like, a hundred pictures. Seriously. My phone’s camera roll was basically all feet. I put my best pictures up and hope for good outcome.
Step 4: The Waiting Game…
Now, I play the waiting game. I’m not expecting to become a foot-modeling superstar overnight, and I know it’s not for everyone, but if I can get my feet, and my self, out there, it’ll be worth it! I’m keeping up with the foot care, though. Gotta keep those assets in top shape!
