Alright folks, grab a coffee because I actually had a real headache last Wednesday at Marche Airport trying to find a decent spot to eat and kill time before my flight. Took some figuring out, but I cracked how their facility maps work. Sharing how it went down.

Getting Started Was Rough

Landed super early, stomach already grumbling. Saw those big digital directory boards hanging around – you know the ones listing Gates, Baggage Claim? Useless for finding specific stuff. Just said “Shopping” and “Dining” with arrows. Total mess. Headed towards “Dining” hoping to stumble on something. Ended up looping past the same duty-free twice. Frustrating.

Then I remembered – most big airports have their own maps online these days, right? Pulled out my phone. Went straight to their official website. Took me a sec, but found the “Facilities” or “Services” link buried in the menu. Clicked that. Boom! They had a whole section called “Terminal Map”. That’s the one.

Using the Online Map – Total Game Changer

This map was way better. Not just lines and gates. You could:

  • Search by name: Typed “coffee” hoping for a decent brew. Zoom! Spots popped up – “Java Hut near Gate A12”, “Expresso Bar, Gate B7”. Super handy.
  • Filter by type: Saw buttons for Shops, Restaurants, Lounges. Clicked “Restaurants”. Suddenly, all the food places showed up as little icons across the whole terminal map. No more guessing which hallway to walk down.
  • See categories: Under shops, they broke it down like Duty Free, Books & Magazines, Fashion, Tech. Dining had Fast Food, Cafes, Sit-Down. Made it easy to pick based on time and mood.

Found this nice-looking bistro near my gate, Gate C3. The map even listed its opening hours and had a tiny “busy meter”. Clicked the restaurant icon – bam! A little popup showed up with its exact location marked inside Gate C’s area. Also mentioned if it was airside or landside. Critical info.

Finding the Lounges (& Free Ones!)

Had time to burn and needed WiFi. Clicked the Lounges filter. Multiple showed up spread across different terminals and concourses. Important detail: the map clearly labeled which ones were airline-specific (like Star Alliance Lounge near B gates) and, crucially, highlighted which ones accepted Priority Pass or other programs. Saved me the walk to one I couldn’t access. Ended up finding a quiet Priority Pass lounge near my gate, Gate C3, thanks to the map listing it.

In the End

Saved me probably 20 minutes of wasted walking. Got a good coffee, found a place to plug in near my gate using a spot marked on the map, and even knew where to head after landing to grab a quick gift for the kids. That little map search tool on their official site? Essential. Next time you’re flying through Marche, find that Terminal Map online before you wander aimlessly. Works way better than those giant boards.
