Okay, so December 20th, right? I wanted to check my horoscope. Not that I really believe in all that stuff, but hey, it’s fun to read, and sometimes, just sometimes, it’s kinda accurate. So, here’s what I did.
First thing, I fired up my laptop. Old faithful, still kicking after all these years. Took a minute, as usual, ’cause it’s got more tabs open than I care to admit. I should really clean that up someday.
Next, I just typed “horoscope december 20” into Google. Super original, I know. A bunch of sites popped up. I usually just pick the first one that looks decent – usually one of the bigger astrology websites. I think it was like, * or something like that. Whatever, they all say pretty much the same kinda vague stuff anyway, right?
I clicked on the link, and it loaded up the page. Had to scroll past a bunch of ads, naturally. Those things are everywhere! Finally, I found the daily horoscope section. I had to figure out what my star sign was! I always forget! I think I am a Cancer.
Then I read the actual horoscope. It was the usual blah blah. “Be open to new opportunities,” “focus on your relationships,” “don’t forget to drink water”… you know, the kind of stuff that applies to everyone, every day. I mean, who isn’t supposed to be open to new opportunities? It’s like they just throw a bunch of general advice at the wall and see what sticks.
After that, I scrolled down a bit more. Sometimes they have slightly more detailed weekly or monthly horoscopes. Found the December one for my sign (Cancer, remember!). Skimmed through that. Again, pretty generic stuff, but it did mention something about career challenges. Hmmm… maybe I should actually try to finish that project at work. Nah, probably just a coincidence.
Finally, I closed the tab and went back to watching cat videos. Much more reliable than any horoscope.
