Okay, so today I went to the Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. It wasn’t too busy, which was nice. First, I parked my car. Parking was easy to find, right near the terminal, but it was a bit pricey.

I walked into the terminal. It’s a pretty modern building, all shiny and new. I checked the departure boards – everything seemed to be on time. There were a few people around, but it wasn’t packed like some airports I’ve been to.
Next, I headed to the check-in desks. There was a bit of a queue, but it moved pretty quickly. The staff were friendly enough, and they checked my bag without any hassle. Security was next. That was also pretty straightforward. They scanned my hand luggage, I walked through the metal detector, and that was it. No problems there.
Waiting in the Departure Lounge
After security, I found myself in the departure lounge. There were plenty of shops to browse, a few cafes, and a couple of bars. I grabbed a coffee and a sandwich from one of the cafes – nothing special, but it did the job. I sat down and watched the planes taking off and landing for a while. There’s something relaxing about that, isn’t there?
My flight was called, and I made my way to the gate. Boarding was smooth, and soon I was on the plane. Overall, the Gdansk airport was a decent experience. It’s not the biggest or fanciest airport, but it’s clean, efficient, and easy to get around.
- Parking: Easy to find, but a little expensive.
- Check-in: Quick and friendly service.
- Security: No issues, went smoothly.
- Departure Lounge: Plenty of shops and places to eat.
- Boarding: No problems, very organized.
If you’re flying through Gdansk, I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s a pretty stress-free airport, in my book. Just make sure you have some change for the parking!
